Margot
GCH dLucks Alternate Endings
Margot was bred at dLucks and is from Bonnie's 2020 litter by "Reuben" MBISS GCH Dark Moon's Supernatural.
Margot has a very charming personality, she loves attention and meeting new people. Margot is so much like her mother Bonnie in temperament and looks. She's an easy housedog and traveler, and loves to cuddle.
Margot had a very exciting show career! She finished her AKC championship with three, 5 point majors from Basenji Specialties. Directly after finishing her championship, she was Best in Sweepstakes and Select Bitch at the 2021 National Specialty.
We are currently planning Margot's first litter.
Maya
CH Taji & Bluenote's I Rise at Zamaradi
Maya is co-owned by dLucks and Zamaradi Basenjis - Natalie and Sarah have co owned and co bred dogs over the years and love working together! Maya was bred by Taji and Bluenote Basenjis. Maya's father is "Taj" CH Zamaradi N dLucks Fame and Fortune, bred by dLucks and Zamaradi.
Maya loves to show off! Her first dog show at 6 months she was Best of Breed from the classes over 8 specials - this was her 2nd time meeting and 1st time being handled by Natalie. She loves doing new things and is happy in almost any situation, thanks to her outgoing parents and Sarah's training. She is an escape artist and loves to climb, and reminds us Basenjis are smart and cunning.
Maya is the total package and is everything a Basenji girl should be. She finished her championship at 9 months old with 3 majors all from Basenji and Hound Specialties.
Brandy
CH dLucks Uncivil Obedience
Brandy was bred at dLucks and is from Bonnie's 2020 litter by "Reuben" MBISS GCH Dark Moon's Supernatural.
Brandy has always been the most outgoing puppy in her litter. She was the first puppy to try new challenges without fear. Brandy is unflappable, i.e. nothing bothers her. Loud noises, chaotic situations, new people... she's up for it all. She loves to work and is always ready for the next thing. This unflappable temperament is something we strive for in our breeding program. Like her mother Bonnie and sister Margot, she also loves to cuddle and knows when to settle down.
Brandy was shown by Natalie and Nancy to finish her championship with 3 majors. We love her square outline, beautiful shoulder, and classic Basenji type.
Bonnie
CH dLucks in Cahoots with Zindika
Bonnie is the mother of our 2020 and 2021 litters, and her final litter is planned for fall of 2022. She is co-bred by dLucks and Zindika Basenjis (Natalie's mentor). She is the daughter of stunning "Moxy", CH Zindika's Got Moxy and sired by 2016 National Specialty Winners Dog and Top 20 Winner "Jack" GCH Kazor's Little Jack Horner.
Bonnie has a wonderful, mellow temperament and she's passed her great personality to her puppies. She is cuddly, a serious hunter, and confident in new situations. She is also enjoys music - not only does she yodel when happy, she enjoys when people sing to her and often sings along!
Bonnie finished her AKC championship quickly with her notable wins being Reserve Winners Bitch at the 2017 National Specialty and Winners at the Willamette Valley Basenji Club Specialty. Bonnie went to her first dog show in almost 3 years since finishing her championship in September 2022 and was Best of Breed! Not only did she look beautiful, our couch potato was happy and confident in a new environment after not leaving the house regularly for the last few years. A testament to her solid temperament.
Dani
GCH FoPaw's dLucks Moon Dance, SC
Dani is the mother of our 1st and 2nd litters and was bred by FoPaw's Basenjis.
Dani is very active and eager to stay busy. She is extremely friendly with new people and loved showing off her puppies to visitors.
Dani finished her championship at 10 months old. She is currently retired to the couch.
Sloane
MBIF FC dLucks Neverending Story, LCX, FCH, BCAT
Sloane was bred at dLucks and is from Dani's 2nd litter. Her father is the all time top winning Basenji "Johnny", CH Zindika's Johnny Come Greatly, JC. She is pictured with her brindle littermate & housemate Logan.
Sloane is very smart and high drive! She's very accomplished on the lure coursing field piloted by her mom Allison. She has always been very active, eager, and fun. Sloane and Logan reside in Los Angeles, CA.
Sloane is a multiple best in field winner and an AKC and ASFA field champion. She also won the field champion stake at the 2019 National Specialty.
